Hello!
I am a Sydney based writer and filmmaker particularly interested in complex, character driven storytelling. I completed the Masters of Film and Television program at the Victorian College of the Arts School of Film and Television in 2016. My short-films, ‘Jockey’, ‘Dumpling’ and ‘Still Life’ have screened at festivals Australia wide, including Flickerfest, St Kilda Film Festival, and the Canberra Short Film Festival, where Still Life won the Best Screenplay award in 2024.
I am a voracious reader and writer and my writing has been published in the Sydney Anthology, FilmInk, and Hermes, which I co-edited in 2013. I have extensive experience in unscripted and factual television, where I have been a producer on shows as varied as ‘Gardening Australia Junior’ (ABC), ‘The Dog House Australia’ (Network 10) and ‘Love Undercover’ (Beyond). I have written and directed several episodes of Gardening Australia Junior for the ABC.
2024 marked ten years since I made my first short film, The Spider, which we shot in my apartment on a DSLR and I thought would win the Palme D’or. That obviously didn’t happen and since then the journey has felt long and the progress slow but the growth has been exponential. I am passionate about cinema and cinematic storytelling, and I have been telling stories for as long as I can remember. There is nothing that means as much to me as the movies.
